Charities

I put together some ideas and possible charities as Kate is going to take up 3 new charities soon (reportedly). By doing so I want to inspire everyone to give back to their communities and help those who are in need. The following 3 charities are just ideas, things that I, myself would be happily promoting and causes that Kate would love the get involved in, in my opinion.
To be inspired and find the causes you feel most passionate about, visit Charity Choice.

Painting in Hospitals

''Paintings in Hospitals is a registered charity that uses visual art to create environments that improve health and wellbeing for service users, their families and staff.
Established in London in 1959, Paintings in Hospitals now works across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The charity has a diverse collection of 4,000 original artworks and delivers interactive art projects for the benefit of service users, patients and the people caring for them.
Every year our work brings comfort and reassurance to over 1.8 million people across the UK from London to York, Aberystwyth and Belfast. We work across the health sector, including hospitals, hospices, care homes, GP surgeries, cancer centres and alternative therapy centres.''

This orgaisation would be a great choice for Kate because she is passionate about art and this charity uses it's power to brighten the walls of hospitals and the days of the patients to make their healing process easier. And who wouldn't like to see Kate getting her hands dirty while painting and creating fun, colourful atmospheres?!

The British Dyslexia Association

Ten percent (10%) of the British population are dyslexic; 4% severely so. Many of the dyslexic people across the UK, whether adults or children, are unable to fulfil their potential as a large percentage of the population still do not understand what dyslexia is, the difficulties which the condition presents and do not know how best to support them. Dyslexia is not an obvious difficulty; it is hidden. As a result, dyslexic people have to overcome numerous barriers to make a full contribution to society.
The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) campaigns for a dyslexia friendly society where barriers to dyslexic people do not exist. The BDA works to ensure that ALL people with dyslexia fulfil their potential. To achieve this we need to create change, set standards and support and enable people.

Kate's brother, James has dyslexia so she could see for herself what are the daily struggles of people with learning difficulties. You can also read James' thoughts on being dyslexic and how if affected him here.

‘At the end of the day, whether it was in a little church or Westminster Abbey didn’t matter, it was me, as a brother, doing a reading for my sister and her husband at their wedding and I wanted to do it right.’

Cabrini

We all need roots and wings to feel a sense of self-worth and to fly towards our potential.

"At Cabrini we are committed to making a life-long difference to children, adults and families. With 125 years of experience and knowledge, we have transformed hundreds of thousands of lives through our range of innovative services. And in a rapidly changing world, the need for roots and wings is more urgent than ever.
Our name Cabrini is inspired by Francesca Xavier Cabrini the Patron Saint of Immigrants who, in the early 1900’s, dedicated her life to helping children."
Cabrini's work is focused on:  adoption, foster care, post adoption support, schools counseling and neighbourhood projects.
I think this would be new territory to Kate, but this is one of my personal favourites, so I decided to share.

Happy Birthday Kate! :)

As it's Kate's 31.birthday I decided to choose my 31 favourite outfit of hers since the engagement.
This will be far from objective, but I thought I share my favourite moments of Kate's married life.
Check out Daily Mail's article, Yahoo's article or Grazia's.
So, let's begin! (I'm doing it in chronological order, I wouldn't be able to choose between them)

Canada tour- Day 6, Outfit 2: Yellowknife

They kayaked, mingled with aboriginals, had a camp fire and received red hoodies, sounds fun. The surroundings  were shouting for comfy clothes and Kate looked proper in jeans for the second time in Canada. She choose a Burberry shirt, J Brand jeans, her Sabago boat shoes (previously seen) and her most worn Kiki McDonough citrine earrings (£495).

Canada tour- Day 5, Outfit 3 Northwest Territoires

This post could be an outfit 2b, because she wore the same Ted Baker trench coat almost all day, but she has a  new dress on that we can barely see with her Prada(?) pumps so I thought why not a 3?! It was nothing shocking, but she looked beautiful. BTW I forgot to say that she already wore the Ted Baker trench coat in 2008, in Cheltenham.

Canada tour- Day 5, Outfit 2 Dalvay-by-the-Sea

"Sadly, the heavens truly opened just before they were due to arrive for a fun-packed afternoon at the picturesque beachside resort of Dalvay-by-the-Sea. There was just enough time for a quick change into more casual fare.
First it was a chance for William show off his skills an RAF search and rescue helicopter pilot, by co-piloting a Sea King. As his wife waved, William climbed aboard the chopper for a demonstration of 'waterbirding', a manoeuvre unique to Canadian pilots which is designed to simulate an emergency landing on water. The Duchess excitedly took pictures of her husband from the edge of the lake. The Duke specifically asked to take part in the training exercise as the technique is legendary among helicopter pilots and he is one of only a handful of British ones who have had the opportunity to try it.

William was then joined on the water by his wife for a spot of Dragon Boat racing. The jaunt proved a welcome return for Kate, who in 2007 trained with all-girl team The Sisterhood for a cross-Channel dragon boat fundraiser when she was dating the prince. Saidky she was forced to pull out shortly before the race took place, however, over fears that her presence would attract too many photographers. The Duke and Duchess were put in opposing teams and helped to row across the other side of Dalvay Lake.William's team pipped Kate's to victory by a third of a length." -Dailymail-
Kate was in a figure-hugging blue J Brand trouser showing her slimness and a navy Ted Baker Jinan trench coat topped off with a red scarf and Sebago Ladies Taupe Bala Deck Shoes($80). Than she changed into a Nike Windproof Anorack Women’s Golf Jacket ($80) for the dragonboat race and her almost iconic Kiki McDonough citrine earrings. For final she wore the same  pair of Pied a terre slingback Imperia wedges(£75) as on their first day in Canada.

They had their own Grace moment

Canada tour- Day 5, Outfit 1 Charlottetown

"The couple were on Prince Edward Island, the setting for one of Kate's favourite childhood books, Anne of Green Gables Set in the 1870s, the novel recounts the life and times of a feisty red-headed schoolgirl, Anne Shirley, who is adopted by brother and sister farmers in the mistaken belief they are taking in a young boy." -Dailymail-
Duchess dressed for the occasion in a nautical-style cream and pale blue cable-knit pencil (it must have been a man from Clarance house who thinks this is a pencil dress, it is really far, really from being pencil) dress by Alexander McQueen, one of her go-to designer since her wedding. Although a lot of sites said it is a dress designed by Sarah Burton we have to believe that it's the late Alexander McQueen's design as we could have seen it (a different colour version) on Sarah Jessica Parker in 2006 when he was still alive. She paired her sailor inspired dress with navy pumps, her Diana sapphire earrings and thank God she pulled her hair back which I think is so much better than her usual hairstyles.
